Moor to Sea Project Administrator (30 hours/week) (fixed term to 31 March 2019)

We are looking for someone who can help support us to deliver this fantastic project based around the North York Moors coast and linking to our iconic moorland. The Project will be looking at trods, trails and tracks, and supporting businesses along them, developing new packages for the celebrations market, wildlife watching, outdoor activities, and breaks using premium accommodation. We need a great administrator to organise the project, carry out research and help organize events.

Marketing and Product Development Executive

We are working hard to raise the profile of the North York Moors and need a talented and enthusiastic person to help us. You will need to bring some great experience of using digital media to get your message across – this could be from your work on writing for websites, producing e-newsletters and using social media. Your skills will also mean that you can lead on promoting our fantastic Visitor Centres and events and exhibitions programme.

Salary:  £25k - £28.5k with potential progression to £31.6k

Salary:  £14.2k - £16.3k with potential progression to £18.3k for 22.5 hours/week

Communications and Marketing Manager at National Parks UK

A unique opportunity to raise the profile of the UK’s National Parks. The job will be to to raise awareness of National Parks, to develop their collective brand and brand proposition and showcase their importance and impact.You will work with the communications and marketing professionals in each of the 15 Parks to develop a strategy and deliver a coordinated work plan of communications activity that supports an agreed common theme, this could typically support two to three key campaigns a year. You will also coordinate PR and media activity to raise awareness of the UK National Parks and build the National Park ‘brand’.You will be line managed by a senior communications professional from one of the Parks and supported by a National Park Chief Executive and the UK’s Communications Managers.

Salary:  Up to £40,000 p.a. depending on experience

Senior Ecologist

This is a fantastic time to lead ecological work in the North York Moors. Your workplace will include wide sweeps of open heather moorland, distinctive dales, valleys and inland headlands; an abundance of forest and ancient woodland rich in wildlife. This all makes for special mix of upland, lowland and coastal habitats with a wide variety of wildlife dependent on these.Other highlights include; two active HLF Landscape Partnership Schemes both of which have considerable natural heritage elements; we also have a new Business Plan with exciting plans for engaging people with our wonderful natural heritage.

Salary:  £27.6k to £34.5k starting salary depending on experience

Lead Land Management Adviser

This is a great time to join our team in this new role - one of our strategic priorities is to strengthen wildlife corridors in the National Park and  we have identified key areas where the landscape could be improved to make it more wildlife friendly. This might be via planting trees and hedgerow corridors, creating species-rich grassland to link up fragmented, isolated patches of habitat. We need somebody who is experienced, practical and well organised to deliver this work. You’ll be a lead part of the agri-environment delivery team, working with other specialists to identify the right places for priority habitats. You’ll be negotiating with farmers and land owners to encourage and assist them to establish these habitats and to manage their land in a way that improves conditions for our native wildlife. We have significant grant budgets and a range of external funding to deliver this work.

This Exploited Land of Iron Community Archaeology and HER Assistant

We are in year two of the delivery phase and have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is really keen to develop their career by helping us deliver our cultural heritage projects particularly focusing on community archaeology and inputting/updating the HER records for our project. The Project is keen to undertake community archaeology surveys and excavations; assist the NYMNPA with establishing a YAC group; utilise 3D modelling for recording and interpretation and construct a digital archive.
