TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2011
WHEREAS the North York Moors National Park Authority ("the Authority") being the traffic authority for Public Footpaths 33 Goathland and 81 Grosmont in the Parishes of Goathland and Grosmont is satisfied that pedestrian traffic should be restricted by reason of works being proposed nearby:
NOW THEREFORE the Authority in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991) and of all other enabling powers hereby makes the following Order:-
No pedestrian shall proceed along footpaths 33 Goathland commencing at Dale End Grid Reference (GR) NZ 8311 0443 going generally north-east for 235 metres(m) to Lythe Beck at GR NZ 8326 0457 and continuing along footpath 81 Grosmont for 429 m to GR NZ 8338 0495 the footpath junction at Low Fairhead.
The alternative route is to proceed north down the unclassified road to Crag Cliff then turn north-east along a footpath through Smithy Holme Wood and continue generally east up the roads and south along one or other public footpath to the point of closure GR NZ 8338 0495 and return.
