Bringing culture up to date
Many many people have been inspired by the North York Moors and today this inspirational quality has a strong influence on local culture.
Practicing crafts people, artists, writers and musicians are still using the visible and invisible qualities of the place to produce work which is unique to the area.
There are many opportunities to see people at work and to experience their work first hand.
There are also a number of galleries in the area, music festivals in the summer and venues where you can hear and see performances.
Brigantia is an association of art and craft workers in the North York Moors area. You can find out more about them by visiting the Brigantia website
Our Events pages give you a guide to what's on in the area and to the National Park exhibition programme which features artists and craft workers from March to November.
