The North York Moors National Park has many miles of country roads, bridleways, forest tracks and disused railways which offer ideal routes for cyclists of all ages.
Details of suggested routes are available from National Park Centres and the following selection should whet your appetite for exploration:
Pedal and Puff
A leaflet with three easy to follow routes using the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway and your bicycle to explore the Park.

Moor to Sea Cycle Route
This route takes you through some of the most picturesque scenery in North Yorkshire. The diversity of this landscape is amazing - heather moors, forests, farmland and cliffs overlooking the sea - and along the way many places to stop, rest and take in the views. Six Bike Tracks - Around Sutton Bank
This map describes six cycle routes following quiet roads and bridleways. From mediaeval abbeys and wooded valleys to expansive moorland, there is plenty to see along the way.All the route begin and end at the Sutton Bank National Park Centre.The routes offer you the opportunity to experience the charm and delights of this corner of the North York Moors National Park, in an environmentally friendly way.

Cycle the Coast

The White Rose Cycle Route
123 miles from Hull to Middlesbrough.
Part of Sustrans’ National Cycle Network, route 65 from York to Middlesbrough takes in the dramatic western scarp of the North York Moors National Park, including historic sites at Byland Abbey and Mount Grace Priory. A choice of routes between Kilburn and Thimbleby offers a circular tour of the Hambleton Hills.

Forest Cycling
Forest Enterprise provides some great cycling opportunities in Dalby and Guisborough Forests. A range of graded routes is available catering for children and families as well as experienced mountain bike enthusiasts.
