Do you love the North York Moors?

For people who love the Moors...

...the North Yorkshire Moors Association

The Association exists to protect and enhance the characteristic natural beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors for present and future generations.

  • We seek to balance this protection alongside the social and economic life of the communities whose homes and livelihood are affected
  • We work to foster an understanding of the forces, past and present, impacting this national treasure
  • Through members’ effort we monitor activities in the area, promoting those benefiting the natural beauty, but opposing, or offering constructive alternatives, where necessary
  • Our Council conducts active campaigns in support of measures to conserve the natural beauty and maintain your access for quiet enjoyment of the National Park
  • Projects in support of the Park are undertaken through members’ voluntary effort
  • The North Yorkshire Moors Association is an independent registered charity, concerned for the future of the North Yorkshire Moors which include the North York Moors National Park
  • Members of the Association share in a quarterly magazine, an events programme and projects benefiting the National Park and Heritage Coast
