What is Springwatch? Springwatch is the biggest ever survey into the arrival of spring across the UK. It's run by the BBC in association with the Woodland Trust and the UK Phenology Network. How can I get involved? You don't have to be an expert to take part. The BBC would like you to watch out for and record your first sightings of any of these six key species: bumble bee, frogspawn, seven spot ladybird, peacock butterfly, hawthorn flowering, swift. Why record spring? By submitting information about the first signs of spring, you can help build the most complete picture of the season as it unfolds across the UK. This will help scientists understand how spring is changing and what needs to be done to help wildlife thrive in the UK. What happens to the results? All the information you provide will contribute to over 300 years of observations and ground breaking research into climate change science. The results of the Springwatch survey will be revealed in a new BBC TWO series, Springwatch with Bill Oddie, later in the year. To find out more check out bbc.co.uk
