Happy Birthday Cleveland Way
The Cleveland Way National Trail turned 40 on Sunday 24 May.
To celebrate, ten groups of walkers pulled on their boots and walked the trail.
Ryedale Ramblers celebrated at the start of the trail at Helmsley before walking on to Sutton Bank.
Northallerton Ramblers took on the stretch from Sutton Bank to Osmotherley.
National Park Voluntary Rangers led the walk from Osmotherley to Clay Bank.
And from there on to Kildale saw ramblers who had travelled all the way from Barnard Castle.
On the beautiful stretch from Kildale to Saltburn walkers had enjoyed superb views.
Ramblers from Redcar and Cleveland stepped out along the Heritage Coast to Staithes
Harrogate ramblers walked the Staithes to Whitby stretch
Whitby to Ravenscar welcomed Crooke ramblers.
From Ravenscar to the end at Filey was walked by the East Yorkshire Rambers.
All the ramblers groups received a commemorative acorn plaque to mark the 40th anniversary.
