The North York Moors has Youth Hostels in the pretty villages of Osmotherley and Lockton, at a spectacular coastal location in Boggle Hole and in the beautiful market town of Helmsley. There are also Youth Hostels in Scarborough and Whitby, both of which have good bus services into the National Park.
Great Fryupdale Outdoor Centre is in a superb location in a quite dale with moorland walking and mountain bike routes from the doorstep.
Sneaton Castle, on the edge of Whitby, is an excellent location for exploring the area and offers single and multi occupancy accommodation.
