There are a number of ways the National Park Authority is trying to assist local businesses.

The Sustainable Development Fund aims to develop and test new ways of achieving more sustainable businesses in this area of great beauty and diversity.

General business advice, training, help with preparing business plans and grant or loan applications is also available from Business Link York & North Yorkshire. These services are initially free and are available throughout the county - www.here4business.co.uk

The same services are available for new businesses (less than three years old) in Scarborough and Ryedale from the North York Moors and Coast Business Advice Agency in Scarborough and, for new businesses in Hambleton from Business Support and Development Limited in Bedale.
