The North York Moors is one of Britain's most cherished landscapes - where else in Britain can you find such an astonishing wealth and variety of beautiful scenery all in one area? With so much to see, a good map is a must.
If you'd like to look at a map of the North York Moors National Park online, you can view our GIS system on the National Parks Portal website.
The most comprehensive maps covering the North York Moors are produced by Ordnance Survey.
The 1:25 000 (2.5 inches to 1 mile) Explorer maps are the best for walkers,cyclists and horseriders, with rights of way and access land clearly marked. They are updated about once every three years so it is worth making sure you have the latest version.
- Explorer OL26 covers the west of the National Park
- Explorer OL27 covers the east of the National Park
At 1:50 000 scale (1.25 inches to 1 mile) is the Landranger series. You'll need five to cover the whole National Park.
