National Park Governance Review
Consultation on the way the North York Moors National Park Authority is run
The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) held a public consultation between November 2010 and February 2011 to look at the way national park authorities are run.
The National Park Governance Review, as it is formally known, was set up to look at ways of increasing local accountability, while recognising the wider role national parks also play for the country as a whole. The consultation asked five questions to get the views of people about the best way of running the North York Moors National Park Authority and to meet the particular needs of the area.
