Promoting understanding
Opening peoples’ minds and eyes to the story of the North York Moors National Park and raising their understanding and awareness of its special qualities is a key part of helping everyone to appreciate and enjoy the North York Moors National Park.
The National Park Authority aims to promote conservation through appreciation at every opportunity and by various means. We use face to face methods such as special events and activities as well as providing visitor centres, exhibitions and publications. We have a very successful education service and use electronic communications to complement our work wherever we can.
Our aim is to make as many people as possible aware of the significance of this National Park and how, if they choose, to make the most of what it has to offer, from recreation to inspiration.
