 Over 90% of visitors come to the National Park by private car

• Such a volume of recreational traffic is putting strain on the environment of the Moors
• Surveys have identified that 31% of National Park residents thought that traffic posed the greatest single threat to the special qualities of the area.

The North York Moors has a network of rail and bus services which serve many of the main towns and villages in the area. There are good long distance rail links to the North York Moors.
