Making sure that the National Park Authority continues to be effective, efficient and flexible enough to adapt to new opportunities is an important part of Best Value. Every area of work will be scrutinised over the next few years and members of the public who use the services that the National Park offers will be consulted.

Over the next year the National Park Authority will be reviewing the following areas of its services:
- Statutory Planning (Development Control and Forward Planning) is being dealt with in a single Fundamental Service Review, which started in February 2004. This review is well underway and due for completion in November 2004. If you have any comments about this area of the Authority's work, please contact Sarah Housden on 01439 770657.
