North York Moors National Park

Authority Services

Rivers

The National Park Authority helps to conserve the rivers and river catchments in the Park by offering a range of advice to fishing clubs, farmers and landowners. It tries to encourage river management which will meet the objectives of the river manager and, at the same time, further National Park purposes.

We:

  • Advise on river and riverside habitat management
  • Put river managers in contact with other specialists, contractors and volunteers
  • Advise on and assistance with applications to grant schemes
