SSSIs

Owners and occupiers of land within a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) have been notified of operations which need English Nature's consent before they can be carried out.

If the intention is to undertake, or allow someone else to undertake, any of these operations then English Nature must be notified in writing of the proposal in advance. Normal felling licence requirements still apply.
