Strategic aim

The overall aim of the Traffic and Transport Strategy is to support Park purposes as laid down in the Environment Act and, in so doing, to follow the principles of sustainability. These aims, by definition, encompass the vital issue of safety for all users of the area.

Put simply, the aim is:

To safeguard and enhance local and recreational access at the lowest possible environmental cost.
