Explore the open spaces … discover the secret places. Our exhibition about the people, history, wildlife and landscape of the National Park was fully refurbished in 2007. It's packed with fascinating facts and entertaining interactives. If you want to know more about the Moors, this is the place to come.

Splash out in the shop. There you'll find an excellent range of books, maps and guides, postcards, and all sorts of souvenirs to help you remember your visit to this special place.

Explore this region's crafts and traditions in our cultural showcase, 'Inspired by ...'. Here you can see examples of local glass, pottery, textiles, painting and more. There are regular exhibitions of new work.

Have a cuppa in the tearoom and treat yourself to some delicious home-cooking. Please note the tea room is currently closed for refurbishment. The re-opening is planned for half term week (11th February onwards). In the meantime we are offering tea and coffee in the visitor centre. Sorry for any inconvenience.
