Thornton le Dale Parish Plan

In October 2006 residents of the Parish were invited to attend a public consultation event in Thornton le Dale Village Hall. From this event a number of residents volunteered to form a Thornton le Dale Parish plan Steering Group to manage the process. In July 2007 questionnaires were sent to all dwellings in the Parish, which sought the views of residents and the answers were used as the basis for the Parish Plan which was published in June 2008.  The Plan includes an Action Plan on a number of different aspects of village life including traffic, the environment and policing.  The preparation of a Village Design Statement and provision of affordable housing for local families are two key action points which the Authority will need to be involved.  The Parish Plan can be viewed by clicking on the link below.
