Traffic congestion on moor road  Moorsbus

Even on a dull day in winter 100,000 journeys are made in the North York Moors by people who live and work here or by people visiting the area for business or pleasure.  The amount of recreational traffic increases in the summer and during August visitors spend over a million days in the North York Moors.  The National Park Authority is working hard to alleviate traffic congestion problems where they occur, to reduce car miles in the Park and promote green transport options wherever possible.
