Husky trekking

Husky racing in Dalby ForestHusky racing in Dalby Forest

There's plenty of four legged fun to be had in the North York Moors.

Siberian huskies love to run as a team. Pesky Husky Trekking is your chance to be leader of the pack and become an integral member of a husky dog sled team. After expert instruction on a purpose built circuit, you can become a "musher" for a few hours and experience the exhilaration of being pulled along by Pesky Husky's powerful huskies.

And you don't even need snow! Try out two wheeled Pawtrekker scooters, powered by two of the strongest huskies.

As the Huskies prefer cool conditions, trekking is offered only from October to the end of March.

Pesky Husky Hikes are available year round though - enjoy a walk with one of the 30 sled dogs through the North York Moors, using specialist belts and equipment specifically designed for the Huskies. With 30 sled dogs to meet, you'll learn a thing or two about the breed along the way too. A fun and unique activity, it's perfect for families.

The Siberian Husky Club GB also occasionally hold an annual rally in the area, usually the Langdale Forest Rally around February. If you'd like to see husky sled teams in action, it's quite a spectacle and well-worth seeking out.
