Volunteer Service
Volunteering for the North York Moors National Park Authority Volunteer Service will give you the opportunity to get involved in a wide and diverse range of activities throughout the National Park. The majority of volunteers get involved in countryside management tasks such as drystone walling, tree planting, maintaining rights of way and habitat management. These tasks give volunteers the chance to learn new skills, boost fitness levels, meet new friends and help the environment at the same time. We also offer a variety of opportunities for those wishing to contribute in other or less physical ways. We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities and have groups that meet both mid week and at weekends.
Volunteers will work with a variety of National Park Authority staff to complete tasks right across the whole National Park. In return we will provide stunning scenery, like-minded individuals and staff to laugh with as well as a mileage allowance, regular newsletters and a volunteer extranet to enable you to keep in touch and up to date on what we are doing.
Our volunteers play a vital role in helping to look after the National Park and their time really does make a difference.
