Whitby Business Park Area Action Plan
The Authority's revised Local Development Scheme 2009 -2012 includes the preparation of an Area Action Plan for Whitby Business Park. The National Park boundary runs through the Business Park and the planning function is carried out by both Scarborough Borough Council and the National Park Authority. It has therefore been agreed that a joint document will be produced addressing the site as a whole and seeking to address issues including the highway layout, the amount and type of employment land needed for the future and environmental improvements.

Meeting 27th July 2011
The first stage of consultation sought views from people who might have an interest in the subject of the Area Action Plan on what it should contain. In order to provide some background information a Discussion Paper was produced for the consultation. A further period of consultation on the final draft version of the Area Action Plan will take place in Summer 2011.
