Why is woodland so important?

Woodlands are a place we can go for relaxation or for fun!

Only a tenth of Britain is covered by woodland. This is less than most other countries in Europe, so it’s important that we look after it –we all need trees!


Did you know?

Nearly 300 species or types of insect can live on one oak tree!

One large beech tree can produce enough oxygen for 10 people!

We use trees to produce medicines...and chocolate!
