All Members of the Authority serve on the Planning Committee.
Its responsibilities include:
- Determining planning applications
- Authorising some enforcement action
- Deciding on the formation and review of planning policies
- Authorising Tree Preservation Orders

1. Livestreaming and recording – The chair to inform members of the public that the meeting is livestreamed and recorded.

3. Election of chair to take office until the first meeting of Planning Committee following the Annual General Meeting of the Authority
4. Election of deputy chair to take office until the first meeting of Planning Committee. following the Annual General Meeting of the Authority

- NYM/2025/0212 - Construction of bee discovery centre with associated landscaped grounds, car park and provision of drainage at Brereton Lodge, The Green, Goathland
- NYM/2025/0302 - Lowering of roof height of side extension (revised scheme to planning approval NYM/2022/0001) at 43 Brook Lane, Ainthorpe
- NYM/2025/0274 - Construction of single storey machinery storage and workshop building with solar panels together with car parking provision (revised scheme following refusal of NYM/2024/0396) at Red House, Daleside Road, Rosedale Abbey
- NYM/2025/0305 - Removal of a static caravan and construction of detached annexe at Morton Close Farm, Green End, Goathland
- NYM/2025/0309 - Construction of upgraded agricultural field access at land south of Limestone Lane (located east of Northfield Granary), Suffield
- NYM/2025/0258 - Installation of entrance barrier and picket fencing (retrospective) at The Howard, Main Street, Rosedale Abbey
- NYM/2025/0313 - Variation of conditions 2 (material amendment) and 18 of planning approval NYM/2022/0249 to change the wording in relation to the solar panel requirements at Low Farm, Beacon Way, Sneaton
Relevant planning files are available for inspection prior to the Meeting upon request. Photographic evidence will be on display in the Committee Room (where applicable).
