Planning Assistant (Enforcement and Compliance)

As a Planning Assistant, you will help to deliver the Authority’s Planning Enforcement Service to ensure compliance with the planning decisions of the National Park Authority. You will carry out office and site investigations relating to breaches of planning control or complaints of unauthorised development and proactively monitor compliance with planning permissions.

Salary:  £20.3k to £22.9k (with potential progression to £26.3k

Young Ranger Leader (Home Based) FTC to 31 December 2022

We have a fantastic opportunity to become a Young Ranger Leader to engage young people in the work of the National Park through volunteering, inspiring them to understand, experience and treasure the North York Moors and be actively involved in its future.

Salary:  £4,123 - £4,655 per annum (7.5 hours / week) FTC to 31 December 2022

Explorer Club Leader (Home Based) FTC to 31 December 2022

We have a fantastic opportunity to become an Explorer Club Leader to engage children and families in the work of the National Park through volunteering, inspiring them to understand, experience and treasure the North York Moors and be actively involved in its future.

Salary:  £6,048 - £6,811 for 11 hours / week (FTC to 31 December 2022)

Land of Iron Ranger (1 year FTC)

Land of Iron is a Landscape Partnership scheme conserving and promoting the fascinating ironstone heritage of the North York Moors. Over the last three years the project has carried out a comprehensive building conservation programme, installed a variety of interpretation features and exhibitions, delivered a diverse programme of natural environment work, and developed a range of volunteer and engagement opportunities. As the project begins its final year, we are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled person to complete site improvements, develop management plans, engage people with local heritage and continue to grow volunteer involvement in the project. Experience of environmental and conservation work is essential, as is a passion for working with volunteers and local communities.

Salary:  £23,369 per annum
