Restoration Project Tenders

The recovery programme has been carefully designed to ensure the moorland continues to function as the vibrant, working landscape it has always been. This includes supporting a mosaic of habitats, sustaining grazing and farming activity, and protecting the historic environment features that make this place so distinctive. As well as restoring what was lost, the programme aims to enhance Fylingdales Moor's long-term resilience for the communities, visitors and wildlife that depend on it.

Work is progressing to restore Fylingdales Moor following the wildfire, with two tender exercises now live covering moorland restoration (including erosion mitigation) and firebreak reinstatement.

Fylingdales Moor Restoration Project Tender A

The purpose of this tender is to restore the peatland and moorland habitats significantly damaged by the Fylingdales Moor wildfire of August 2025.

Fylingdales Moor Restoration Project Tender B

The purpose of this tender is to restore the firebreaks excavated during the immediate response to the Fylingdales Moor wildfire of August 2025.

These tenders are running concurrently; Tenderers may submit proposals for one or both tenders if they can demonstrate sufficient expertise and capacity.

Tender submission deadline is 19 June 2026, 5:00pm

We are particularly keen to encourage local contractors to engage with these opportunities and we will be holding events for prospective contract partners to find out more about the programme and how to get involved. These will be an opportunity to hear directly from the programme team, ask questions, and understand what the work will involve.

Further details on dates, locations and how to register for these events will follow shortly.
