Mrs C Patmore

I have known and loved the North York Moors National Park all my life, having been at prep school in Helmsley which gave me a particular interest in the wild flowers of the area. Living just outside the Park in the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and having been elected as a Councillor to North Yorkshire County Council 16 years ago, for a Division which boasts territory within the Park, it has been important to me to find a place on the Authority.

Also I proudly follow my husband's cousin Professor Alan Patmore who served on the committee some years ago and who was very involved in the area. The care that is needed to keep the beauty of the Park pristine and serene, the necessity to take the Park into a viable economic future, and the chance to make it part of the modern world are my reasons for being involved.
