Stay apart. Act responsibly. Safe lives. COVID-19 updates

We are asking you to follow Government advice to stay at home as much as possible. Public rights of way everywhere are open but outdoor exercise is only allowed if you are social distancing, including staying 2 metres apart from those not in your household.

Most Authority car parks and public toilets are closed but we have begun a phased reopening of some of them in line with Government guidance.

The stunning National Park will be here waiting for you to enjoy when it is safe to do so and we look forward to welcoming you back then. If you are thinking of visiting the North York Moors now, please follow our guidelines for accessing the National Park safely.

On foot, under your own steam, out on the trail... is there any better way to experience the North York Moors than heading out for a walk?

We don't think so, which is why we've put together a fantastic series of downloadable walks covering every corner of the National Park.

Spring daffs in Farndale, the legendary Hole of Horcum, romantic Rievaulx or beach-combing at Hayburn Wyke – where do you want to explore today?
