If our outdoor or practical volunteering activities aren't for you, we also have volunteers involved in a variety of indoor roles.
Here are a number of examples of how volunteers help us at our National Park Centres, gallery and offices, however please see our Current Volunteering Opportunities page for further information and vacancies.
Information volunteering
Our National Park Centres at Sutton Bank and Danby Lodge can be very busy places and we have volunteers helping us to provide an excellent service.
Inspired by… gallery
Our gallery at Danby Lodge National Park Centre is popular with local artists and visitors alike with a changing programme of paintings, photographs, ceramics, woodwork and much more.
Volunteers are involved in providing information to visitors on the exhibitions and assist with promoting the gallery and its associated events.
Office-based data inputting
We occasionally have volunteers inputting data for a variety of projects including mapping and archaeological records.
Micro-volunteering
Our micro-volunteering page lists a range of projects that you can get involved with in your own time, including some, such as the Big Garden Birdwatch and the annual Star Count, that can be done from your own home.
