Date: From 1/01/2016 to 28/11/2021
Order Type: Temporary Prohibition Order
NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS)
Footpath No 96 Danby
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended)
The North York Moors National Park Authority made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the Parish of Danby in the Borough of Scarborough:
No pedestrian shall proceed along footpath 96 Danby commencing at Grid Reference (GR) NZ 6978 0521 going north for 305m to the Footbridge at GR NZ 6984 0550
The alternative route is to proceed north east up the field to the gate then straight over to the next gate and then down to the footbridge at GR NZ 6984 0550 and return.
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs. The Order is necessary due to danger to the public from a collapsing culvert and deep holes.
By approval of the Secretary of State for Transport on the 14 November 2019 to an extension (ref: NATTRAN/Yorkshire & The Humber/TTRO/4098), the Order shall continue in force until 28 February 2021 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
