Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parishes of Newby & Scalby in the Borough of Scarborough:
Public Footpath 205:
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Point A (Grid Reference TA 0101 4900), heading in a generally south-westerly direction for 335m to Point B (Grid Reference TA 0076 8981).
Alternative route – Public Footpath 1 Newby & Scalby:
Pedestrians should proceed along the south side of the Sea Cut.
The Order is necessary due to danger to the public from engineering works carried out on behalf of the Environment Agency to repair a landslip.
The closure takes effect from 28 February 2022 and will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
