Youth groups & volunteering

We work with groups of all ages and abilities, and are able to offer a variety of practical, engaging activities to inspire and challenge young people to take a greater interest in the outdoors.
Looking after the National Park
School groups, youth groups and young people all work with us to undertake conservation tasks with us through our Young Rangers Programme and bespoke conservation challenges (this is a funded programme so is free or discounted for most beneficiaries).
Other Youth Group programmes
Some of our most popular activities include:
- Bushcraft, shelter building, fire lighting
- Map and compass skills
- Geocaching
- Stream-dipping
- Camouflage and concealment
- Building nest boxes and bird feeders
