Perhaps you’ve agreed to cook together one evening or have booked a restaurant, but you want to make the most of your lovely temporary home so how about hiring a private chef to cook a meal for you.

Lisa Chapman who runs To Dine For doesn’t call herself a chef, even though she successfully ran the Endeavour restaurant in Staithes for 12 years and maintained it in the Good Food Guide throughout that time.  She calls herself a cook: ‘That’s what I do’.

Since selling the Endeavour Lisa has continued catering for events, shooting parties and private dinners and regularly for the residential art courses run by Staithes Gallery. From time to time she returns to the Endeavour to run a pop-up.

You can book Lisa to come along to your holiday home and cook a seasonal three course dinner. It might start with king prawn with a Thai dipping sauce, followed by pork fillet with prune stuffing wrapped in bacon with a wild mushroom sauce then crème brulee with seasonal fruits. She’s can also prepare well thought out vegetarian dishes and special diets. Price around £25 a head.

I’ve known Lisa and eaten her food since Endeavour days: delightful lady, delicious food, damned good value.
