National Centre for Birds of Prey

The National Centre for Birds of Prey opened in March 2013 and has the largest collection of birds of prey in the north of England. Housing birds from the tiny Burrowing Owl to the gigantic Steller's Sea Eagle, there's lots to see for all ages.

There are three flying demonstrations of the birds every day between 24 March and 31 October, and two demos the rest of the year; this is a great time to take photographs.

Situated next to the historic Duncombe Park house, the site covers about 10 acres, with a café, picnic areas and children's playground.

Accessibility

The centre is wheelchair friendly, with stone paths, gentle gradients and ramps into and out of the entrance, shop and café. Disabled toilets are available.

There are disabled parking spaces within 20 metres of the entrance.
