Traditional boundary scheme
Traditional Boundary Scheme
Grants of up to £2,000 available for land managers within the North York Moors National Park to help towards dry stone walling restoration, and hedgerow restoration or hedgerow planting. These traditional boundaries form a big part of the landscape character of the area and are an important feature of the historic environment. They also provide wildlife habitat and shelter for stock, as well as reduce soil erosion across the National Park. This is a competitive scheme and applications are assessed against a series of criteria.
Please note that there is not a Traditional Boundary Scheme for 2020/21. It is hoped that the Scheme can be re-opened for applications in April 2021.
