Definitive Map Modification Order 2022
0n 29 April 2022 the North York Moors National Park Authority confirmed the above Order under s53 of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order is to modify the definitive map and statement for the area by adding the footpath from the road adjacent to The Oaks, across a stone bridge (over Little Beck) to the road adjacent to Mill House as shown on the Order map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed has been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Whitby Library, 26 Windsor Terrace, Whitby, North Yorkshire, YO21 1EY until 30 June 2022. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HG. The Order came into force on 29 April 2022 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, within 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, make an application to the High Court.
