Want to improve your outdoor skills or to try something new? With plenty of experts on hand, and loads of accommodation suitable for groups, the North York Moors is a fantastic place for a group getaway, team building trip or organised holiday activities for the kids.
These activity providers offer a mix of half or full day courses, events and activities. Booking is essential.
AFS Mountaineering
Runs two day National Navigation Award Scheme courses at various locations in the North York Moors, starting with Bronze, suitable for those with no prior map or compass skills and Silver. All courses including training and assessment. Bespoke courses also organised for groups.
Also offers planned and bespoke guided mountain walks, wilderness treks and winter skills courses.

Carlton Adventure

East Barnby
Part of North Yorkshire Outdoor Learning Service, East Barnby hosts schools during term-time and runs holiday adventures for families in school holidays in partnership with the National Trust. Depending on the season and weather, you'll get to try different activities, from canoeing down the Esk, sea kayaking, sailing, surfing, mountain biking, climbing, bushcraft to geocaching and orienteering. Hidden Horizons Explorer Hub
