Leven Art Society
Leven Art Society – based in the market town of Stokesley, on the western edge of the North York Moors – was founded 45 years ago.
It has about 130 members whose work is strongly influenced by the local area, in particular the beauty and character of the moors and coast, as well as the industrial heritage of the towns and villages.
The society runs workshops and demonstrations at Stokesley Town Hall, while a four-day exhibition is held over the Spring Bank Holiday each year.
