Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an order the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Loftus in the Borough of Redcar & Cleveland.
Public Footpath 12 Loftus: (A-B-C)
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Greenhowe Farm on Grinkle Lane at Grid Reference NZ
Alternative route over Greenhowe Beck: Public Footpath 10 Loftus: (D-E-C)
Pedestrians can proceed along this footpath commencing on Grinkle Lane at Grid Reference NZ
The Order is necessary to allow for the bridge to be replaced at Grid Reference NZ
The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
By approval of the Secretary of State for Transport on the 11th February 2026 to an extension (ref: TTRO/Y&H/13325), the Order shall continue in force until 16 September 2026 or until completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
