Public Footpath 48 Fylingdales (Hunter’s Moon & High Normanby)

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended)
The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Fylingdales in the county of North Yorkshire:
Public Footpath 48 Fylingdales: (B - A)
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing on the side of the A171 (Whitby – Scarborough road, opposite Fern Farm) at Grid Reference NZ
Alternative routes:
Public Footpath 649 Fylingdales: (C – A)
Commencing on the side of the A171 (Whitby - Scarborough road) at Grid Reference NZ
or
Public Footpath 46 Fylingdales: (D – A)
Commencing at the side of the A171 (Whitby - Scarborough road, opposite Manor Farm House) at Grid Reference NZ
The Order is necessary to allow for a mains water pipe to be replaced.
The closure takes effect from 7 September 2026 and will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs. The notice/signs will include maps and/or plans showing all three routes described above marking clearly the closed route and the two alternative routes. This Order shall remain in effect for a period of six months ending on 6 April 2027.
