Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1) (as amended)

The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which is to make the following closure in the parish of Cloughton in the county of North Yorkshire:

Public Footpath 17 Cloughton: (D – E – F)
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Grid Reference SE 9916 9465 (Point E) and then heading in a generally easterly & then north-easterly direction through the woods for 280 metres to the junction with FP 206 Cloughton at Grid Reference SE 9938 9471 (Point D) and then turning to head in a generally south-easterly direction for 460 metres to the road at Grid Reference SE 9974 9449 at Point F. A total distance of 740 metres.

Public Footpath 206 Cloughton: (C – D)
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Grid Reference SE 0005 9557 (Point C) and then heading a generally westerly and then south-westerly direction through the woods to Grid Reference SE 9938 9471 (Point D). A total distance of 1290 metres.

Public Footpath 503 Cloughton: (A – B)
No pedestrian shall proceed along this footpath commencing at Grid Reference SE 9904 0643 (Point A) and then heading in a generally easterly, south-easterly and then north-easterly direction through the woods to Grid Reference SE 9980 9624 (Point B). A total distance of 1106 metres.

There are no alternative routes through the woods.

The Order is necessary due to allow for tree-felling to be undertaken throughout the woodland area.    The closure will be put into effect by means of the erection of notices and signs.
