A visit to Dalby will uncover many magical things such as The Gruffalo orienteering course, Superworm trail, some of the very best mountain biking trails and endless stunning views. Keep your eyes peeled along the way for our unique sculptures which are dotted throughout the forest, get the adrenaline pumping at Dalby Activity Centre or test your nerve and swing amongst the trees on their Go Ape courses.

Dalby Forest is home to an abundance of internationally important wildlife species and is also a designated Dark Sky Discovery Site, where you can experience the magic of seeing the Milky Way with the naked eye.

Dalby Forest provides a range of facilities to offer you a fantastic day out.

Gift Shop

Dalby Forest Visitor Centre houses a gift shop where you can buy Gruffalo and Superworm goodies, a whole heap of outdoor adventure toys, dog accessories, local food & drink and arts pieces to take home.

Café/on site catering

Dalby Forest’s onsite café provides both delicious hot and cold food options, a wide selection of hot and cold drinks and delicious daily cakes, ice creams and goodies. The café has plenty of space to sit and enjoy your refreshments, either inside our open plan, glass fronted café or outside on picnic benches.

Car parking

Dalby Forest has plenty of car parking all across the site.
The main car park is by the Visitor Centre in low Dalby and has ample room and disabled parking.
Adderstone Field which houses the Gruffalo and Superworm trails has ample parking too.

Children's trails/adventure playground

The Grandfather Oak playground is situated at the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre and is by far the most popular.
At Adderstone Field, you can find the Enchanted Forest which is a wild playground.

Picnic site

Choose from Adderstone Field, Staindale Lake, Sneverdale, Sievedale, Haygate and Crosscliff.
Dalby Forest has ample picnic spaces.
BBQs are not permitted at any time.
