About Staithes Gallery
Staithes Gallery is located in the heart of the picturesque fishing village of Staithes on the North Yorkshire coast. Staithes has historically inspired artists drawn to the village by its winding streets, terracotta rooftops and proximity to both the wild North Sea and Yorkshire moorland. Staithes Gallery, under new ownership, strives to provide an opportunity for the finest examples of art to be viewed in the surroundings they feature, displaying paintings, prints and ceramics over two floors by contemporary artists who are primarily inspired by the landscape, fauna and heritage of the Yorkshire coast and moors.
Our primary focus is on quality wok but we aim to showcase affordable work to suit a variety of budgets. Visitors and browsers are welcome. Staithes is adjacent to the A174 road between Whitby and Teesside and it on the Cleveland Way walking route. Car parks are situated at the top of the village but short stay loading bays are available close to the gallery for loading.
The gallery is open on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year- opening times may vary according to season.
