Cycling clubs and groups


Calling all cycling enthusiasts!

Whether you're a seasoned rider seeking to improve your speed or a beginner embarking on a new cycling adventure, North York Moors' vibrant cycle club scene beckons you. It's not just about cycling; it's about forging new friendships, embracing challenges collectively, and savouring the simple joys that come with every turn of the pedal, while also finding out some of the best local cake and café stops!


Active Filey

Offering a range of cycling experiences, led by qualified ride leaders and coaches. Host a number of weekly rides (morning, afternoon and evening options) and occasional small events including time trials and Sportives.


Breeze Rides

Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist. Mixture of rides with some Breeze into the Forest rides taking place in Dalby Forest.


Cleveland Wheelers

Founded in 1958 serving Middlesbrough and the surrounding areas of Cleveland and North Yorkshire.  A vibrant  and active club  attracting up to 50 riders on the weekly Sunday ride, split into several ability groups.


FLAB Social Rides

FLAB social rides are free to join no what your ability. They have a no drop, no one gets left behind policy with the ride being at the pace of the slowest. These are social all-inclusive rides coordinated by the FLAB Community known as Flampions.


Malton Wheelers

Mainly a road riding club with a Sunday morning ride starting at 9:00am approximately 40-50miles. All rides start from Malton market place. Occasional time trials on summer evenings.


MTB Guisborough Club

Club formed to encourage participation in mountain biking in the local area. Offering advice and coaching sessions to develop the skills of local riders and a pathway to represent the local race team.


Pickering Social Ride group

Informal riding group based out of Pickering, including road, gravel and mountain bike rides. Tuesday evening and Sunday morning rides.


Ryedale Velo Club

Friendly, local cycling club open to all abilities based out of Kirkbymoorside. Several rides per week including road, mountain bike and gravel rides. Summer evening time trials as well as weekend trips away. Affiliated with British Cycling.


Scarborough Coast Cycle Club

Previously known as Richardson's Cycle Club, Scarborough. Committee led cycling club offering mix of mountain bike and road rides through-out the week.


Scarborough Paragon Cycling Club

A long established club, formed in 1953 with approximately 70 active members. Wealth of experience to share in road racing, time trailing and social rides.


Whitby Wheelers CC

Formed in 1975 with the aim to ‘promote, improve & encourage recreational and competitive cycling.’ Affiliated with British Cycling.
