Thank you for social distancing - COVID-19 updates

We're delighted to give you a warm welcome to the National Park. Remember, when meeting friends and family you do not live with (or have formed a support bubble with) you must not meet in a group of more than six. In all cases, you should social distance from anyone you do not live with or is not part of your support bubble. The Government recommends that you keep at least two metres away from people where possible or where this is not possible, more than one metre apart as well as taking extra steps to stay safe.

Additional restrictions apply to those living in some surrounding areas of the National Park, depending on the local COVID alert level, which you should be aware of. Please do use the postcode search tool to check the alert level for your local area.

If you are thinking of visiting the North York Moors, please follow our guidelines for accessing the National Park responsibly.

On foot, under your own steam, out on the trail... is there any better way to experience the North York Moors than heading out for a walk?

We don't think so, which is why we've put together a fantastic series of downloadable walks covering every corner of the National Park.

Spring daffs in Farndale, the legendary Hole of Horcum, romantic Rievaulx or beach-combing at Hayburn Wyke – where do you want to explore today?
