Time for You
As we move into Tier 2/3 from 2 December, if you're able to travel, we'd like to welcome you to your favourite places and to explore our big open spaces. Before you head out of the door, make sure you Know Before You Go and plan your trip carefully. We've ideas on where to go and we’ve pulled together a map giving you the latest information on which attractions and activity providers are open in the North York Moors area.
Additional restrictions apply to those living in some northern parts of the National Park and other surrounding areas (Tier 3), which you should be aware of. Please do use the postcode search tool to check the alert level for your local area and follow the rules for your tier.
If you are thinking of visiting, please follow our guidelines for accessing the National Park responsibly. We are urging everyone to maintain social distancing, which includes staying two metres apart from anyone not in your own household or part of your support bubble.
If you’re unable to venture out, we've more features to inspire you from the comfort of your home:
- This Land. Our home - articles exploring the wildlife and people of the North York Moors
- Meet the Makers - meet the artisans who seek to capture all that makes the North York Moors special
- Nature for all - a roundup of all the best ways to appreciate what’s around us and reconnect with nature
When you're ready to escape to nature, you can count on the North York Moors National Park for inspiration.
Whether you love nothing better than learning a new skill, trying out a restaurant for the first time, seeking solitude in peaceful spots, watching wildlife, or enjoying smiley moments with friends in beautiful surroundings, our National Park is full to the brim with options to shape your downtime just the way you want.
We’ve pulled together some ideas to get you started on great ways to enjoy ‘time for you’ across our treasured landscape.
