The Community Forums (previously known as Parish Forums) are a way of ensuring a regular dialogue between parish councils and the National Park Authority.
There are three forums covering the northern/coastal, southern and western parishes. Parish Councillors attend them but any member of the public is entitled to ask a question at a Community Forum meeting.
If you would like to ask a question at a Forum, written notice of the question should be submitted to the Chief Executive (National Park Officer) two days prior to the meeting. Questions should not relate to "individual circumstances", these should be taken up directly with the relevant National Park staff.

Southern Community Forum: 8 October 2026 - venue to be confirmed
Northern/Coastal Community Forum: 21 October 2026 at Danby Lodge National Park Centre
Western Community Forum: 28 October 2026 at North York Moors National Park Authority, Helmsley
