Community Forums (previously known as Parish Forums) are a way for communities and the National Park Authority to meet, share information and discuss the issues that matter across the North York Moors.
Community and voluntary groups, Parish councils, local businesses and residents all play an essential role in looking after the local environment, supporting local communities and helping ensure a warm welcome for visitors. Community Forums have been established in order to strengthen awareness and understanding between the National Park Authority and the communities that help shape and care for the North York Moors.
The forums provide an opportunity to:
- Meet face to face with representatives of the National Park Authority
- Hear more about our work and important developments affecting communities across the National Park
- Raise issues, ideas and opportunities directly with the National Park team
- Help ensure that your views, concerns and aspirations for the North York Moors are heard.
There are three forums covering the southern, the northern/coastal, and western areas of the North York Moors. Anyone is welcome to attend either in person or via Teams, please email general@northyorkmoors.org.uk or call 01439 772700 to book a place.
