Our top 7 picks at Sutton Bank

Sutton Bank National Park Centre is a great place for families to burn off energy and adventure in the outdoors. Here’s what not to miss!

1. On yer bike

You don’t need to be a pro and you’re sure to have fun! Young ones can gain confidence in the skills area before heading out. We recommend the family cycle trail through woodland and the famous cliff edge. The pump track is also a big hit for those who enjoy thrills.

2. Nature lab

Our interactive area tells the story of the remarkable River Rye. Our sandbox allows you to move mountains and make it rain. Take a closer look at nature using digital microscopes. Science made fun!

3. in the Wilde

New for 2025! Enjoy tasty food and drink, served with a smile. From delicious brunch options to great coffee and cake, we can guarantee you’ll be impressed.

4. #2Minute litter pick

We’d love for you to grab a litter picker and do your bit. Hopefully there’s not too much to find but it’s a great way to have a stomp about and feel good about your actions afterwards.

There’re always outdoor trails available to get minds ticking and legs moving! Check out our family events page for more information on the current trail and other activities planned.

6. Outdoor play

For the little adventurers amongst us, head to the play area to clamber about. Perfect for the younger ones, there’s a stone castle, quirky treehouses, log swamp, sandpit, swing basket and a mud kitchen.
